What can coaching actually do for me?

Coaching can help you develop greater awareness, clarity, confidence, and trust in yourself—so you can navigate what comes next with intention.

The Coaching Experience

Coaching is a collaborative space to pause, reflect, and clarify what matters to you. At the beginning of each session, you set the objective—what you want to focus on, explore, or accomplish. We work on your agenda, not mine. My role isn’t to tell you what you should do, but to partner with you as you explore what matters most to you.

Together, we’ll explore what’s happening, what you want, what might get in the way, and what possibilities you may not have considered. We’ll focus on what is within your control and turn insight into meaningful action.

There is room for uncertainty, difficult emotions, and changing your mind. There is also room for humor, experimentation, and imperfect progress—because perfect is the enemy of the good. Coaching helps you develop greater awareness, clarity, confidence, and trust in your own ability to navigate what comes next.

Coaching VS Mentoring

Coaching and mentoring can both support professional growth.

Mentoring is typically experience-led. A mentor draws on their own knowledge and experience to offer advice, perspective, recommendations, and lessons learned.

Coaching is client-led. As your coach, I’m not there to tell you what I would do or give you the answer I think is best. You set the objective, and we work together on what you want to explore or accomplish. Through active listening, thoughtful questions, reflection, and gentle challenge, I help you uncover the path that makes sense for you. My role is to be curious about your perspective and support you as you figure out what is best for you.

In short: mentoring offers answers; coaching helps you discover yours
